I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.
- Litany Against Fear (from Dune by Frank Herbert, 1965)
” When you stumble, you may regain your balance by jumping beyond the thing that tripped you.” Damn the Dune books have good quotes ;)
-DUNE
Much that is called religion has carried an unconscious attitude of hostility toward life. True religion must teach that life is filled with joys pleasing to the eye of God, that knowledge without action is empty. All men must see that the teaching of religion by rules and rote is largely a hoax.
The proper teaching is recognized with ease. You can know it without fail because it awakens within you that sensation which tells you this is something you’ve always known.
This is the best thing I feel as if I’m gonna see today. DUNE FTW!!!
The Spice gives Life. I love these books…
